A pioneer in the Russian River Valley for more than 40 years, Gary Farrell Winery crafts small-lot, artisan wines that capture the balance and stylistic elegance of some of the finest vineyards in the region, including Rochioli, Allen, Bacigalupi, Olivet Lane, Hallberg, Durell, Gap’s Crown and Fort Ross. Our legacy of producing varietally expressive, site-specific Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is being expertly tended by winemaker Theresa Heredia. She works closely with our growers to showcase the exceptional fruit from their vineyards, and her wines have achieved significant critical acclaim. A specialist in cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Theresa came to Gary Farrell a decade ago from Joseph Phelps’ Freestone Vineyards on the Sonoma Coast, where she made a series of top-rated wines and was named “Winemaker to Watch” by the San Francisco Chronicle. Since she joined Gary Farrell Winery in 2012, her wines have received nearly 700 90+ scores and other accolades, including Top 100 Wines, Top 100 Cellar Selections and numerous Editor’s Choice and Cellar Selection designations.
