The original homestead of MacMurray Ranch was settled over 150 years ago in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. Only three families have owned the ranch, all sharing a common vision of the land and working to preserve its legacy and beauty. In 1941, Fred MacMurray, one of Hollywood's best-loved actors, bought the ranch. He raised his family there and enjoyed the rewarding lifestyle of a rancher. Kate MacMurray, the daughter of Fred MacMurray and actress June Haver, was raised on the historic ranch on the Russian River that is known today as MacMurray Ranch. For her, the wines honor her father and her family who loved the land and enjoyed its bounty for over 50 years.
